Right now my plan is to head east from where we are now, slovenia, through northern italy to southen france in time to see some stages of le tour. This is going to be harder than i thought. It seems someother people want to watch the tour also. So far i have one night booked in marseille on the night of the 19th. That day the tour starts in Marseille and heads to montpellier. so i would see the starting line or go up a road and wait for them to go buy. To stay in Montpellier its going to cost me 50 euros. so i dont know if my master plan is going to work. maybe i can find something thats not on the website, iam still going to head that direction and see what happens.

Sounds good. Hope it all works out for you. I meant to ask about the media over there. Everyone says in Europe the news is much more straightforward and informational than it is in the U.S. Did you notice that on tv or in the papers?

Sounds like a great plan. I have read that it is a circus around the start and finish of a stage.Would like to read what you think. Say Hi to Bob Roll for me.

Spence- How about a "Take me to Le Tour with you" sign as you hitch a ride to wherever the tour will be?
We'll be looking for you on the 19th on the bigscreen.
Marti and I watched the tour LIVE as it was finishing at about 6:15 PM the evening before we flew out of Amsterdamn.
And yes Ellie, the European media is more straighforward (as you put it). Kind of refreshing.
